The Ivy Nicholson Project

2010 - present, performative videos shot on Staten Island, photographs, dimensions to be determined

Self-proclaimed “Kate Moss of the 1950s”, actress, model, mother and underground New York icon Ivy Nicholson was the star of Warhol films in the 60s. Inspired by the cult-classic Grey Gardens, this collaboration features Nicholson’s friends and family as characters playing themselves in a story about her own life. Actors include an Andy Warhol look-alike, and members of Nicholson's family. Organized thematically around an album of 15 songs that Nicholson recorded in the 90s, The Ivy Nicholson Project is a series of short videos and photographs.
