After the death from cancer of artist Rafael Sánchez' partner and collaborator Kathleen White in September 2014, I was invited to stay in the apartment
where they lived and where Kathleen died. For 22 months, through the process of photography [also videography, archiving, listening, counciling],
the intimacy of loss is illuminated through images of the artifacts that remain and offer an extended presence.
